A few years ago, I started writing values that guided my daily decisions. Values like honesty, warmth and curiosity became it on my list.
That fast exercise helped me to see why some aspects of my work reward, while others dried.
Try a few quiet minutes to take the values that you just can’t live without. Maybe you are prospering on creativity, or you are motivated by you to help others.
Write them down and then look for ways that already appear in your job, your job, your personal relationship.
This list becomes your beacon, guiding you when you refine how you appear in the world.
2. Craft History of Personal Origin
I previously thought the stories were reserved for fairy tales and big screen heroes. Then I realized that we all have a unique journey that shapes who we are.
The story of your personal origin is a special story that offers a look at why you do what you do. It has turns, turnings, classes and victories that give depth of your brand.
The best way to discover your story is to give the key moments to your life.
These can be big events such as career shift or small moments as the teacher’s encouraging words, which lit fire inside you.
Then ask yourself. What do these moments teach me about who I am?

3. Point your unique skills
If you are something like me, you may be ignoring your own strengths from time to time.
I remember a tutor saying to me: “Raya, you’re great noticeing what people say.”
I never considered that skill. It was just something I did naturally. But when I knew that, I leaned it and weaved it in a coaching approach.
Spend some time studying the things you are doing well, especially the skills that feel the second nature.
You can be in the visual design, or maybe your strength is to raise others in your words.
Check with friends, family or trusted partners and see if they notice skills you never think about.
This external reaction can open surprisingly. After all, we are not always the best judges of our abilities.
Actively viewing ideas from others, you discover hidden diamonds in your skill collection. These diamonds can become the cornerstone of your brand identity.
4: Explore your brand personality
Sometimes the hardest part of personal branding decides how to present yourself consistently.
Relax from the set brands. Many of them are developing a defined “personality” or Arkhetype, which guides their messages.
In the early days of marketing, I worked with companies that have appointed “Adventure, Technological Savings, Approach” to maintain the voice of the unified brand.
Translating to the personal brand includes choosing re-voters that reflect who you are in your core.
If you aim to transfer a quiet expertise air, imagine how your social media records or your business is emerging.
Will you submit humor? Will you use more visuals or more detailed studies?
Try to create a quick reference sheet for you. List three or four words that define your brand’s personality.
Then, when you write a blog post, the craft social media update, or communicate with customers, review those words and see if your actions correspond to them.
Keeping an individual memory ensures that you are facing as a hopefus, remaining faithful to your values.
5: Try the sound of your brand
I was worried about what I wrote was “sufficiently professionally”.
Eventually, I realized that allowing my natural voice to pass random phrases, personal jokes, the tail of humor was a more real approach.
Now I still look on the clarity and tone, but I learned to trust my instincts.
When your words match your real personality, you make a faster confidence.
A good exercise is to write different styles.
You can write one paragraph in an official tone, then rewrite the same paragraph in a casual, friendly tone. Compare two and decide which to resonate with you.
You can even share these paragraphs with a partner or close friend and ask them to react.
The goal is for balance. Your message should be simple but should also feel that it comes real.
6. To maintain consistency over time
Forming the brand’s identity is not a one-time deal. It develops as we develop as individuals.
In my early career, I was in a hurry. In time, my priorities were moved to balance and a realistic living.
This evolution was shown in my brand, and I had to provide these new values, new goals and new lessons, which were implemented by what I did.
