HP Unveils AI-Powered Support Services and Certified Refurbished Hardware Ahead of CES 2025

HP Solutions has announced a number of expanded offerings designed to improve IT productivity and resilience, including enhanced support services, a new device registration service and a broader portfolio of certified refurbished PCs. The announcements, made ahead of CES 2025 in Las Vegas, aim to simplify device management, reduce downtime and support turnaround goals for businesses worldwide.

HP’s enhanced Support Services now help organizations avoid costly failures by using artificial intelligence to proactively address device health issues. The upgrades are available globally and address a range of IT needs with three tiered packages:

  • HP Essential Support: Adds on-site device repair to standard remote support offerings. Customers can opt-in to receive AI-powered device health information for proactive problem identification.
  • HP Premium Support: Offers 24/7 remote support, next-day on-site repairs, and predictive AI tools to identify device issues. End-user alerts and automated ticketing facilitate remediation before violations occur.
  • HP Premium+ Support: Builds on Premium Support with preferred access to parts and HP service professionals, ensuring the fastest repair times.

“HP helps organizations minimize employee downtime so they can stay productive and focus on business priorities,” said Marcos Razon, senior vice president and president of HP Lifecycle Services. “HP is harnessing the power of artificial intelligence to prevent customer issues before they arise and provide support staff with the information they need to make faster fixes the first time.”

Advanced support packages are available for both new and post-warranty devices and can be integrated into Managed Device Solutions.

HP also introduced HP Device Enrollment Service, designed to ease IT workloads by automating the enrollment of new devices in modern management platforms such as Microsoft Intune. The service is expected to launch globally in February 2025 and will include:

  • Automated integration: During the manufacturing process, devices are registered to preferred management platforms, reducing the need for manual configurations.
  • Fast registration: Devices are registered within 48 hours of shipment, allowing IT teams to assign user profiles prior to delivery.
  • Advanced monitoring: Automation and reporting tools ensure efficient data management and secure access to registration data.

As organizations migrate fleets of aging devices to modern platforms, the service, which will end support for Windows 10 in October 2025, is particularly timely.

HP is increasing the availability of its Certified Refurbished PC portfolio by adding more devices under the HP Renew Solutions initiative. These products align with the growing business demand for sustainable solutions and include:

  • HP EliteBook 830 G8 (US only)
  • HP EliteBook 840 G8
  • HP EliteBook 850 G8
  • HP EliteDesk Mini 800 G6

These refurbished devices come with a standard one-year warranty and offer two- or three-year offsite support packages. Availability will expand to the UK, Spain, Sweden and the Netherlands in April 2025, joining the US and France.

“Organizations are increasingly applying circularity to their business practices based on consumer preferences, customer obligations and new government regulations,” said Grant Hoffman, Senior Vice President, Operations and Portfolio, HP Solutions. “We manage a wider mix of HP Certified Refurbished devices available in more countries to provide reliable solutions that meet both performance and durability requirements.”
