Key Takeaways
- It requires intentional links to create a powerful entrepreneurship community, balance and support.
- Accepting the genuine freedom sensitivity in the work and combines all parts of your life
Twenty years ago, my husband and I made a decision that would change our lives.
I was out of a government work that carried me the world. We have two young children and a clear plan. We gave ourselves six months to understand our next move.
It was both beautiful, but also beautiful.
Every day, Enrique and I’d go to the gym, I would throw the children in terms of free day and ride a stationary bike side by side. Rhythmic malpractice of bikes, children’s background laughter – this was our strategy.
After graduating from the MBB, Enrique turned our future into the last project. We appreciated three potential work and as a result, we chose a cleanliness franchise that matches the most important thing: time freedom and financial independence.
This season has taught me something I still learned to me: Freedom requires structure – and this structure is built from the people you are surrounded by yourself.
Related: My childhood dreams hit the rock bottom when I crashed before my eyes – but entrepreneurship saved me. This is what I learned about the purpose, perseverance and people.
The power of anchors
In the first days, the community did not mean network events or masters. I was not ready for all this.
The necessary things were one or two people who could stand us when everything felt uncertain.
One, Prof. Enrique’s strategy, which helps us to evaluate the work models. The other was a friend working in the center of the Business Development – free for entrepreneurs, often a source of sight. He became a continuous guide in this critical first months.
There was a simple, unshakable rule: “Don’t see me until your financial reports.” His point was clear – if you don’t know if you don’t know you are financially, you don’t do a job.
Then, when he faces challenging staff decisions, he did something swollen. “Yes, you should do it.”
I would cry. Then I’d do. And I would return stronger. These tears were not weak – they were part of what I had to be.
Because freedom requires the most scary.
Find the right circle
As the work stabilizes, I realized that I needed more than an anchor. I need peers – people who understand the weight and surprise of entrepreneurship.
When we start searching for entrepreneurship communities. For example, groups such as entrepreneurs are organizing people, but also offer people who do not live in large enterprises but great integrated life. Changed my attitude to what possible – not only professionally, not personally.
I also realized that there is not about the separation of real entrepreneurship success – it does not work encounter Life – but integration. You don’t build a job while living life. You weave all together.
The right circles support it. Not only do you notice the victories – take place for a full travel: doubts, pivots, personal growth.
Weakness as super power
When I talked about my entrepreneurship, a large turning point came.
It was not just a business story. I talked about the abuse of living. I talked about parenting. I talked about building a company from scratch. For the first time I brought myself to the stage.
I saw once as a payment – the hard parts I keep secretly were my biggest strengths. Did not reduce me to own the full story. It has been deepened.
At that moment, I realized: weakness is not responsible – it’s your arm.

As a container without society walls
This experience changed how I thought about society. The best communities are not tough. They look like wallless containers – strong enough to catch you, still wide enough to allow growth.
Now my sense of society is more liquid. Every morning I walk five miles listening to podcasts – work leaders, spiritual thinkers and health professionals. One idea takes to another, a voice leads to a new connection. Mentorship If you know how to listen to the intentionally everywhere.
This is evolution – need a handful of anchor to build a global sound network. Proximity is less important now. Alignment that is more important.
The future of entrepreneurship
If I can redesign the entrepreneurship community of the future, it would be different from the rooms I came in.
We broke the artificial hierarchies. Sorting people with income steps or output size. Instead, shared values - firmness, generosity, interest and purpose.
We would see that a $ 1 million business entrepreneur can teach a possible gift that could be forgotten. And vice versa. Weakness would be currency. Wisdom would flow in all directions.
Last Thoughts
These exercises with bicycle sessions with twenty years ago were the basis of something greater than a job.
They taught me that good luck doesn’t travel solo. Each mentor, every problem and every honest conversation that helped me, it really happened more than who I was.
We frequently watch freedom as a place. But I believe that I believe it: When freedom escapes, freedom does not happen when you hug with the right people.
