Growing up, my father often said: “A little encouragement is going on a long way.”
Indeed, several words of praise or confirming nose can work miracles on child’s self-esteem. It lizes their drive to study, learn and turn large adults.
But what happens when that support environment is lacking?

Similar time in college when I was asked to talk to the symposium. Despite my knowledge and preparation, I was constantly interrogated if I was worthy of being at that stage. I doubted if my thoughts and ideas carry any weight.

6) Reluctance to ask for help
You know, it’s good to ask for help.
However, those of us who growing up without a lot of encouragement, reaching, could feel like a defeat. We are afraid to ask for help can make us afford or incompetent.
I was also struggling with this, trying to deceive everything on my own, convinced that asking for help was a sign of failure.
But here’s a gentle reminder.
Asking for help is not a sign of weakness. It is a testimony for your strength. It shows that you are aware of your restrictions and are ready to study and grow.
And during personal branding, these qualities: humility, openness and flexibility. Are invaluable. So achieve when you need. It’s okay. Really.
7) Hard self-criticism

Those who had no encouragement during their early years often became their fastest critics. We put an impossible high standards for ourselves and turn ourselves to ourselves when we can’t meet them.
It’s like a permanent, disgusting voice on the back of your head, stubbornly pointing your mistakes and disadvantages.
Recognize what it is, your past result is not a reflection of your potential. The journey to build a powerful personal brand begins silencing this internal critic and replacing it with compassionate independent conversation.
The word will learn to love yourself and understand that you are in progress and it’s great.
