Matthew Mitchy
A great career in sports or business is never based on only one result or alone, or even a handful of them. Real success should never be defined by short-term results.
Recently, the coach role of Houston’s Women’s Basketball University, I was the head coach of Kentucky University of Kentucky. It was a terrible walk that included three visits to the NCAA tournament Elite 8, Southeast Conference (SEC) and three seconds of the year. Of course, like any team, we learned about the winning staff that refused to fall. It’s part of basketball and is required to happen.
At the heart, I am a coach, be it basketball, a business or life. And what the coach always wants to do is have a real effect on life. As a coach, I also found that preparation is the key to success. The size of the talent or performance under pressure is not going to save you until you have set the job translated into maximum preparation.
While a well-trained leader and his team can lose individual fights, generally a consistently prepared team can literally lose. Focused, constant preparants reaching stable success.
When you are around the magnitude, what you see stabilityI think you can call such a secret to success, but I don’t think about it as some mysterious code. Did other coaches break in other worlds? Instead, it’s their daily habits. A believer is in court or the best trained person in the office or the call of sales. Wherever you are your craft, if you do it, it will bring amazing success.
Any travel of stable success is focused on great preparation. And the great preparation is divided into two parts. The first part is about a mindset you have to develop. The second one includes a three-level method to achieve the preparation of the championship.
Let’s start with considering the mindset that needs to be successful.
Imagine a mindset as a filter you put your mind processes. A healthy mental filter is one that provides ineffective thoughts and actually maintains you.
Mind exercise. Pay attention to the conversation in your head. Make a conscious effort in the next week to view how you are processed challenges that occur. Note how long you spend complaining, either loud or in your head. How long have you been spending to worry about the circumstances you can’t manage? You work through problems, as if one brushes one brush behind each other.
If these are the habits of your mind, you convince yourself that the circumstances under your control are responsible for your life.
The exit is to stop negative thoughts. Interrupt that thought
Patterns and train your brain in new habits. Tell yourself “enough”. By paying attention, you can choose different thoughts. It just makes some effort.
Next, steps to make the level of championship.
1: Clean crystal on your goals. Think of a clear purpose as a lens that helps you to see better to see what is a useless subversive vs. what is positive change or addition. The goal is to clear you energy and excitement. But when you put your goal, you want to be realistic and reasonable. Make this through a smart circle, make your goal special, measurable, available, realistic and timely. This results in accountability.
2. Create a strategy to prepare for those goalsA number of important is to think about at rest achievements, as it is your common preparation goal. The key is to use reverse engineering. Step by step step to decide what it takes to achieve that goal.
3. Fulfillment of the details of your preparatory strategy. One way to improve the goal of excellent preparation is to set short-term, additional subdivisions that can be done. Subscribes create a chain of preparation steps that lead you to your main goal door emphasis to succeed.
The most successful leaders do not fly by their pants seat. They realize that they have to raise their preparation game or they fail. Follow them lead to your game to raise your game by reviewing your mindset and restarting your goals to achieve a strategy.
It’s amazing what you can do for yourself professional and personally when you are a master of cooking. Do you separate yourself in a way that gives confidence and steady success?
